Kidnapped - Drive to a few markers, then drive to a few more markers while under a time limit.Prove It - Complete a few stunts with Shift to prove your abilities to Jones.Complete these and you'll complete Chapter One: This will unlock the next two story missions. Breaking News - Film a few stunts in a marked zone. After completing this one, you'll unlock the Ram ability. If you unlocked Boost, this will be much easier. Meet the Heat - Your first pursuit event - evade the cops in 3:30 while driving to a marked destination.Take your time, there's no real way to fail this outside of trashing the car first. Learn to Scream - Raise the driving instructor's pulse to 180 BPM by completing stunts, like near-misses, overtakes, and drifts. You might consider beating this mission first. Once you complete this one, you'll unlock the Boost ability, which acts as a sort of nitrous boost applied to every car you Shift into. College Fund - Your first checkpoint race, made easier because you only have to finish first OR second in a field of four.Whenever you're ready to continue the story, you'll need to complete four City Missions, marked on the map with yellow circles: At any point between missions, you're free to jump in to Activities or Dares, marked in blue, to earn yourself some extra Willpower to spend on cars and upgrades. Once you do, you'll unlock another achievement for having completed the first of the game's 50 Activities.įrom here, the game will open up into a proper open world. The roads are fairly open and time does not tick down particularly quickly, so you should have no problems finishing this one. Take the opportunity to test out the car you just bought, and shift over to the Activity, in this case a checkpoint race. Keep this in mind when deciding how to start your activities. The same rule holds true for Dares, as well. If you start the Activity through Shift, you'll be using whatever car you have set as your default in your garage.

However, there is one important distinction to be made here: If you drive into the marker, whatever car you are using when you enter the marker is the car you will be using when you start the Activity. You can start these activities in one of two ways: by driving into the marker on the map or by going into Shift and flying over to the marker, selecting it from the air. Activities are a series of side activities that you can complete to earn yourself some bonus Willpower. Exit the garage to see your first Activity marked on the map.
